Creating Channeled Artwork
The expression of creativity is a natural desire of the soul. Whether displayed through a painting, sculpture, poem, or song, art is always a reflection of your power to create reality. But what about the moments when you sense another presence guiding your artistic process? Who else is contributing?
This is the process of creating Channeled Artwork.
Channeled Artwork happens when your Higher Self connects with the consciousness of another being and works in collaboration to create a form of art. During these interactions where there is more than one consciousness at play, that energy becomes infused into what you’re creating. Channeled artwork can manifest in many different forms, such as painting, drawings, sculptures, poetry, and even music.
All art is essentially channeled, however these cross-connections and influences from other beings often go unnoticed. The more sensitive and self-aware you are as an artist, the more likely you are to discern your own contributions to your project from those of an another being. Even without the addition of another being, you can channel other aspects of your own consciousness into your art, like your shadow side, your fears, or even your inner child.
There are infinite forms of consciousness that can connect with you through art, but some examples include extraterrestrials, spirit guides, interdimensional beings, nature/elemental beings, and even humans who are still incarnate. For instance, if you are making a drawing for your friend as a gift, you are most likely going to be thinking of them the entire time you are creating the piece. While thinking of them, you are actually tapping in to some aspect of their consciousness, and receiving information that is translated into your art. Your Higher Self as the artist, is synthesizing with the Higher Self of your friend, and together creating a deeply personal and profound piece of art that combines both of your energies.
The communication that occurs when creating channeled art is usually received in the form of images and emotions, rather than words or strict instructions. It may come as an intuitive “knowing” as well. Often, a strong feeling of inspiration that coincides with vivid mental imagery, is an indicator that channeled information has been received. Excitement of this degree is always reflective of your true core frequency, which means that the being connecting with you to deliver the inspiration is also operating at the same frequency. If you follow through with expressing this energy, you will find that the art will flow effortlessly.
Once the conscious connection has been made with the being you are working with, you can ask for input and suggestions throughout the process. For example, when I am portrait-sculpting a face of a being, I have to be mindful of the requests given to me about the facial features. I may ask for confirmation on the size of the eyes, or if the skull is the correct shape, and so on. As stated earlier, this information may come in the form of intuitive knowing and mental images. Although, the strongest guidance system of all, will be the emotions you feel and receive while making the art. Feelings of love, joy, flow, and playfulness are the states to create from. If you feel yourself shifting into uncertainty, doubt, judgement, and fear, take some time away from your project to release these emotions before continuing. Feelings of resistance cut off the channeled connection, and interrupt the flow state.
To prevent any stagnation in the process and to keep communication clear, talk to your art each step of the way. The art itself is the doorway to the being. See it as a mirror, every detail you add to your piece, unveils a clearer reflection of the consciousness you’re working with. The more you communicate with the art, the more insights and guidance you will receive from the beings involved. In my experience, I receive confirmation the moment I begin to recognize the face I’m sculpting. Once it resembles the face in my mind, or starts to radiate the emotions I was feeling during the sculpting process, I know that I’ve successfully crystallized the channeled energy. It’s incredibly powerful to manifest an idea from spirit form, or imagination, into the physical world.
Channeled art is a very heart-centered and intuitive process. Aside from some basic planning, such as drawing out a sketch or taking some measurements, there is very little input coming from the analytical mind. The intention is to follow the thread of inspiration that comes from your Higher Self, which requires a strong trust for the process. Often, you may not know how to get from the beginning to the end of your project. It happens naturally and organically, without referencing a list of instructions. Even the original intuitive vision that was received, may morph and change into something entirely new. Which is actually preferred, as it means that your own energy has successfully merged with the being you are collaborating with, to create art that represent both of your energies equally.
The timeframe for channeling art can’t be mapped or planned. Sometimes, you may create an entire piece in an afternoon. Other projects may take many weeks, months, or perhaps years. It depends on the complexity of the piece, how many beings are involved, how focused you are as the primary artist, and many other factors relating to the “timing” of completion. There may be a synchronous date waiting in the future, that will end up being the perfect moment to finish the art.
To provide some encouragement for the artists reading, I would like to briefly share my experience of my first channeled sculpture. I’ve channeled many, many faces over the years, but this story of my first ever channeled face acted as the energetic template for each sculpture that followed.
When I was 15 and just beginning my sculpting journey, I received a visual download of a being I called “Zoosh”. This being was an extraterrestrial showing me his infant form, which was represented as quasi-physical. Meaning that his body wasn’t as dense, and therefore glowing a white light. I saw his sweet face smiling and blinking, looking around and laughing. It was such a vivid download that I knew it had a be a real communication between me and this being. After this experience, I was able to finish sculpting his face within a couple of days. All I did was embody the emotions that the vision gave me, and replicate the details of his face into the clay. I selected the name “Zoosh” for him, as it reflects the playful and innocent nature of this special being.
We all have the innate ability to channel not only our Higher Selves, but many other beings throughout the universe. Allow your imagination to act as the bridge between beings, and invite your creativity to expand in ways that transcend all limitation.
With gratitude,
~Willow
