Observing Probable Realities
The more I integrate with the dreamworld, and understand how to relate to the unique and abstract nature of that reality, the more I notice the dreamlike qualities of my waking life. These two realms of experience overlap with one another, and create a third shared-reality that exhibits an increased malleability. When one softens their physical focus, and allows their “fixed” beliefs to oscillate as they enter a daydream state, extraordinary events can transpire.
When occupying the realm of possibility, there are no absolutes and everything is “in-flux”. It’s as if the observer can shift through various potentials before deciding which one they wish to believe. Once the belief as been anchored within the individual, and a resolute perspective has been assigned to the experience they are having, then the idea solidifies into a physical manifestation.
Each individual has their own entirely unique perception of this physical world, therefore suggesting that no two observers are ever witnessing the same reality. When an individual stays in an open, curious, non-judgemental and unassuming state of being, while expressing awe and wonderment, they can become both the observer and the co-creater of the experience. One can watch an event unfold from this embodied state, and invite the “power of suggestion” into the exchange. The observer becomes an equal participant in the game, and can suggest a certain outcome upon the experience, while remaining in the spirit of inquiry and playfulness. A curious mindset allows for a back-and-forth play to occur, between the observer and the experience itself. This enables the experience to seemingly become sentient, leading to communication and collaboration with the observer. Together, they can manifest a reality fabricated from the substance of dreams.
I’ve recently been exploring this notion of acknowledging the sentience of all experiences, and interacting with ideas, objects, and events as having individualized consciousness. This direct, intentional connection with my reality, has created many synchronistic unfoldments in my daily-life. I always assign meaning and significance to these moments, and listen intently to the messages conveyed through the symbols and unexpected connections displayed by the synchronicities.
Yesterday morning, I had a unique and dreamlike experience that inspired a further investigation of this theme. I was shown an example of how the probable conclusions of physical reality events can fluctuate and reveal an unexpected development.
At 6:10 am, shortly after waking, I went downstairs to get a drink of water and happened to glance out of the kitchen window. I was still adjusting back to physical reality after a very active night of dreams, and my awareness still felt broad, as I hadn’t fully narrowed my focus back down. Synchronistic timing played a large part in guiding this experience as well, nudging me to look in exactly the right place at exactly the right moment.
When I looked through the window and out into the forest, slightly off to the left, a rustling bush caught my eye. I caught a glimpse of a pale green humanoid figure, maybe 2’ tall, walking into the bushes. They were very dainty and slender, and I saw only the back of their head and body as they swiftly disappeared into the bushes. The leaves only rustled for a moment after the being entered, and then returned to perfect stillness immediately after. I was very intrigued by what I had just witnessed, and decided to allow all possibilities to be true as explanations. I watched that area of the forest for about a minute, expressed gratitude for the interaction, and then carried on with getting my drink of water.
About 30 seconds passed, and then I happened to look up again. Approximately 10 feet away from the bush, I saw the tail of a red fox quickly scurry behind a tree. The tail was bright orange with a white tip, unmistakably a red fox’s tail. This captured my interest, since red foxes aren’t native to where I live. It would be considered very rare and unusual to see one at this elevation. The first thought that popped into my mind, was: “Did this being just shapeshift?”
I looked down again, back to the kitchen counter, and after about 30 more seconds, I peered out the window once more. From behind a tree that was about another 10 feet away from where I saw the fox’s tail, a deer suddenly emerged. I couldn’t help but smile and think, “Wow, you’re quite the master at changing your form!” How beautiful you are!” The deer was in full view now, and was an adult-sized Mule Deer; very common where I live. The energy of this entire interaction felt very playful, and anything seemed possible as I was observing this event.
The orchestration of a very skillful illusion would have been needed for the deer to disguise itself, and quite literally shrink, in order to be perceived as the being who rustled the bush and then as the fox who vanished behind the tree. Sure, I was still loosely focused into physical reality, but perhaps that’s what allowed me to experience the fluidity of form in this dreamlike way. It felt like a game of hide and seek, and I was in a state of being that allowed all possibilities the potential to be “true”.
This experience gave rise to the following questions:
Is my perception of reality the true reality?
Does my past change based off of what I know now, that I didn’t know then?
Was I observing three overlapping potentials?
There is so much to explore here, and every answer leads to further questioning.
Is my perception of reality the true reality? - All possibilities exist, though not are are probable to manifest in this physical realm. Beliefs are the underpinnings of physical reality, therefore, if a belief is strong enough, the reality will shift to match what is “expected”. As individuals allow their awareness to expand, they will find that continuity is not a necessity, but rather a belief. The rules of cause and effect are becoming suggestions, and are no longer fixed ideas. With this in mind, the only true reality, is the one perceived by the observer through their own beliefs, expectations, and filters. As this concept is accepted and put into practice, the true flexibility of belief systems will be discovered. There are no incorrect answers as to what an individual perceives to be their experience, since every additional observer will discern something different. One shouldn’t invalidate their unique perceptions and the feelings that an experience invokes within them, for their reality is the only true reality; its their own creation.
There is no singular answer, so why not believe it all? Why not play with the imagination, and communicate with the experience itself, honoring its sentience?
Does my past change based off of what I know now, that I didn’t know then? - Yes—perhaps it can. Reality is created moment to moment, as beliefs are configured into new shapes, new arrangements, leading to new discoveries. In regard to my interaction with the suspected shapeshifting being, if I chose to believe that I was observing the deer all along, then my memories would bend to match that idea. However, if I chose to validate my experience in the way it authentically unfolded, my memories would remain the same. The deer was not in my awareness until the very end of this interaction, meaning that I had no preconceived expectation of what the being “responsible” for this playful exchange to be. Could it have been a shapeshifting elemental being? Sure! A fox? Why not! A deer? Could be! Perhaps all one being, perhaps several? Of course!
By continuing to ask questions, and embracing the unknown, information can flow in from unforeseen sources. You may be surprised by who (or what) answers. By giving everything the chance to respond, you're honoring the cognizance within every expression, every detail, of your reality.
Was I observing three overlapping potentials? -
Along the lines of what has already been explored, it is possible that I may have been able to “tune” my awareness to perceive a convergence of three overlapping potential realities. By remaining in a dreamlike state during this experience, my belief systems were more flexible, perhaps permitting a glimpse into the parallel versions of this encounter. I believe that all the conceived explanations are equally probable. Since I was perceiving this interaction as an observer without assumptions, and expressing curiosity and a sense of awe, I was able to experience a sequence of three plausible truths. It’s as if I peered into several frames, one from each reality, and created a new reality out of those segments. There are infinite concurrent realities available to access, simply existing at different frequencies and concealed from view until focus is actively placed in those other realms of existence.
At this moment, I’ve chosen to embrace the uncertainties and the unknowns of my unique experience. I find it very fulfilling and inspiring to recognize the sentience within the experience itself, and to “play” with probably realities as if it were a game. Which it is—It’s the process of selecting and activating certain beliefs and ideas, which then translate into both physical and nonphysical experiences.
As you play with probabilities, no matter how subtle the shifts in your reality may appear to be, just ask yourself: Where am I? Who am I now? Allow your self-perception to expand, and view yourself as both the observer, and as a co-creator of the experience itself. Physical reality is just a realistic game of make-believe, where dreams and imagination are the sustenance that vitalizes all expressions of physical form.
With gratitude,
~Willow
